Interventional Pain Management Physician 

 Southeast Neurological Specialists is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our growing team of medical professionals. Anesthesia, PM&R and Neurology trained pain physicians welcome to apply.  Our practice has locations in Tallahassee, FL and Thomasville, GA and provides exceptional care for patients with chronic pain and neurological disorders. 

This position will be based in our Thomasville, GA office where you will have a team of 3 ARNPs supporting you.  You will have an excellent work week, Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:00 and occasionally Friday 8:00-12:00… no weekends! Responsibilities 

·      Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate, diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plan;   Educate patients on condition, treatment plan, and home care 

·      Perform interventional pain procedures under fluoroscopy on-site and ASC based 

·      Document and maintain patient charts in EMR system (Athena) 

·      Manage follow up care, address changes in conditions and amend treatment plan as needed 

·      Order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests, administer injections and in-office procedures 

·      Oversee ARNP and PA staff and their patients  

·      Actively maintain knowledge of current pain management research and trends 

·      Maintain excellent communication with patients and office staff 

Qualifications 

·      Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician with the ability to obtain an active and unrestricted Georgia license 

·      Neurology, Anesthesiologist or PM&R Physician with a Fellowship in Pain Management preferred 

·      2-4 years of private practice experience preferred 

·      Experience with performing/administering interventional treatments such as steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulators 

·      Stable work history 

·       Sound understanding of pertinent state and federal regulations including HIPPA, OSHA, CDC and HHS guidelines for administration of pain management 

·      Strong analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills 

·      Positive team player and leader that can remain calm under pressure 

·      Energetic with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
